KVH Family Medicine

William C. Bothamley, MD, originally joined us during his medical residency in 1992, and has practiced with KVH ever since as a Family Physician. Dr. Bothamley has a special interest in rural health issues and also serves as the Medical Director of Home Health & Hospice. He and wife Roneé have two sons, Alden and Rogen. They enjoy family time with local travel and backyard gardening.

"I look forward to meeting the growing and diverse health challenges of the community – particularly as our population ages. I hope I can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of my patients at KVH Family Medicine."

Michael Garnett, MD, is well known to our community, having practiced with Klickitat Valley Health for 35 years. In addition to his Family Medicine practice, Dr. Garnett has trained in surgical procedures such as Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy. He enjoys teaching for the UW School of Medicine. He and Pam, his wife of 40 years, have four grown children. They enjoy hiking, fishing, running and gardening. The Indian Heaven Wilderness Area is one of their favorite recreational spots.

"Pam and I are thankful for the kind support we've received from the community over the years – and we look forward to continuing my practice at the new KVH Family Medicine."

Dr. Charles Miller

Charles Miller, MD, joined KVH Family Medicine in 2016. Dr. Miller‘s practice with KVH continues an extensive medical career, which includes a 5-year private practice in Huntington Beach, California and a 17-year hospital practice in The Dalles, Oregon. He and his wife, Dr. Pam Miller, a clinical psychologist, have a college-aged daughter attending Seattle University. The pair enjoy walking, hiking, reading, tennis and travel.

"Life stays interesting with new opportunities. I am pleased to be practicing medicine in this beautiful setting and working with so many fine people."

Dr. Charles Miller

Nathan Armerding, DO, joined KVH Family Medicine in 2016. Dr. Armerding’s practice offers his patients full scope Family Medicine, with a special focus on osteopathic manual manipulation. Nathan celebrates family life with wife Kristin and their four kids. Music is a passion, and staying physically active includes basketball, tennis, mountain biking, hiking and camping. As a self-professed fishing addict, he’s on Cloud 9 whenever there’s a steelhead caught with a hand-tied fly.

"No matter one’s personal struggles, I firmly believe there is always cause for hope and room for positive change. My aim is to partner with my patients to see them flourish - in mind, soul, body & spirit!"

Rebecca Nelson, ARNP, joined Klickitat Valley Health in 2010. As an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, she is qualified to treat patients within the full range of Family Medicine. Becky lives in Hood River with her husband David, an arborist and tree health consultant, and their 17 year old son. The family shares an interest in the natural world through hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and birdwatching. Visiting extended family in New England makes for bicoastal travel adventures.

"I'm enjoying the Goldendale community and the people I work with. I especially like riding my bicycle around the area during warm weather."

Annie Stone, ARNP, joined Klickitat Valley Health in 2014. It’s actually a warm “Welcome Back” as many patients remember Annie from her years at the Family Practice Clinic. After practicing in the Portland-metro area for the last few years, she returns to KVH Family Medicine as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and as the newest member of the Women’s Health Team. Annie is an avid reader, knitter, gardener, yoga fan and all-around outdoor enthusiast, along with being a proud mom to 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.

"As a Family Nurse Practitioner who is focused on women’s health, my professional mission is to: Encourage, Educate, EMPOWER!"

Louissa Gordon

Louissa Gordon, PA-C, joined KVH Family Medicine in 2015. As a Physician Assistant, Louissa cares for all types of patients, and has a special interest in building her practice working with kids. She is certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. A native to the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband Benjamin relocated to Goldendale from the Bend, Oregon area. Together they enjoy cooking, crafting, outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

"What I appreciate most about healthcare is getting to build relationships with my patients and work together with them to make their health and quality of life the best it can be."

Alvin Massenburg

Alvin Massenburg, PA-C, joined KVH Family Medicine in 2015. As a Physician Assistant with over six years practicing in the Florida and Colorado Correctional systems, Alvin has extensive experience in both Primary Care and Men’s Health. Born and raised in a small town near Tallahassee, Alvin is a life-long Florida State ‘Noles Fan. He and his wife have a college-aged son, and Alvin is blessed with five older (and wiser) sisters. Free time means fly fishing, hunting, biking, reading, woodworking and staying fit.

"I’ve found the medical field to be a great match for my incessent curiousity and problem-solving nature. I enjoy working collaboratively with my patients to help them achieve their best personal health outcomes."

Kayla Elliott

Kayla Elliott, PA-C, joined KVH Family Medicine in 2015. As a Physician Assistant, Kayla enjoys working with patients of all ages and the unique aspects that come with each decade. Her passion is teaching healthy lifestyles, along with preventative medicine focusing on nutrition and exercise. Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Kayla, husband Derek, and dog-fur-child Stella moved to Goldendale after falling in love with the Gorge during family visits. While often found with her nose in a book, she enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and traveling for new food and cultural experiences.

"I don’t think of being a Physician Assistant so much as a job or career, but more as a calling or purpose. I love helping everyone, from all walks of life, and guiding their healthcare needs through the journey of their life."
