About Our Community
Goldendale sits on a fertile plateau north of the Columbia River between the windswept Columbia Hills and the pine-covered Simcoe Mountains of South-central Washington. Goldendale is the county seat of Klickitat County, with a population of approximately 3,800 and a Hospital District referral area of 9,000. The town is located in the central section of the county, 70 miles south of Yakima, Washington, 35 miles north of The Dalles, Oregon, and 120 miles east of Portland, Oregon.
