Michale Zammit, MD, FACS, RPVII
Dr. Michael Zammit’s professional life began in Malta, Europe where he was born and earned his medical diploma from the Royal University of Malta. He received his surgical and vascular training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He then moved westward to Seattle for a two year fellowship at Providence Medical Center (now Swedish Hospital) in Seattle. He specialized in vascular open and endovascular therapies for twenty five years at Swedish Hospital and served as director of the Vein Treatment Center in Seattle, Washington.
In September 2009, Dr. Zammit and his wife came to the Yakima Valley for the opportunity to launch a vascular surgery program with Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. His primary goal in this endeavor is to provide a patient-centered environment while working closely with referring and specialty providers making available a network of services including diagnostic studies, artery and vein care, wound care, minimally invasive procedures and surgical procedures. |
