Athletic Training Program

We’ve partnered with Goldendale High School to keep student athletes safe and healthy.

To ensure the health of our area high school athletes, the Klickitat Valley Health Physical Therapy department in conjunction with Cascade Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has partnered with Goldendale High School to provide a Certified Athletic Trainer to serve the student athletes in our region. Student athletes have access to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation from the designated Athletic Trainer.

An organized program ensures high school athletes are well prepared for activities, properly and efficiently treated for injuries and can return to play safely and quickly.

A local need

Klickitat Valley Health (KVH) has contracted with the Goldendale School District to provide athletic training services for student-athletes during practices, games, and camps in addition to providing treatment to injured athletes at KVH’s outpatient physical therapy clinic. While the cost of providing these services have far surpassed the contracted rates the school district can afford to pay, the benefit for these young athletes is priceless, especially as ramifications of concussion injuries have become more deeply researched. This program was made possible through donations from Cascade Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, the Goldendale Booster Club and the KVH Memorial Foundation.
